Devikulam is a small hill station about 5 km from Munnar in the Idukki District in kerala is 1800 m above sea level. The crisp and cool mountain air heavily laden with the fragrance of wild flowers and rare herbs. According to legend, the goddess Sita Devi of the Ramayana epic bathed in the beautiful Devikulam lake waters surrounded by lush, green hills, now named Sita Devi Lake. Devikulam means the Lake of goddess. The Sita Devi Lake offers rejuvenating springs of mineral water and is also a favourite picnic spot among tourists.
Besides the expansive tea plantations, a spice garden run by the district tourism promotion council nurtures a wide variety of spices. The best time to visit Devikulam the stunningly beautiful hill station Devikulam is from September to May.
